Dual Study (B.Eng.) Wood Engineering

The program is structured as a dual study system, meaning you will alternate between theoretical phases at DHBW Mosbach and practical phases at the main location in Tauberbischofsheim.

What to expect during your studies:

  • During the theory phases at the university, you will acquire extensive knowledge in materials science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, technical mechanics, and business administration.

  • As the program progresses, the focus will shift to furniture and interior design, manufacturing technology, design and product management, and construction.

  • In the practical phases, you will get to know different production and administrative areas.

  • You will handle increasingly complex tasks and projects, learning to work in an engineering-compliant, solution-oriented manner.

  • Throughout your studies, you will be supported by an experienced mentor.

The dual study program in "Freight Forwarding, Transport, and Logistics" introduces you to all relevant logistics business areas, including land, sea, and air transport, as well as warehousing. In addition, the curriculum covers business administration, IT, foreign languages, and sales training. Upon graduation, you will be perfectly prepared for challenging roles in forwarding, transport, and logistics departments or companies.

Wood mechanic (m/f/d)

As a wood mechanic, you will create furniture and room concepts in individual and series production. You will specialise in working with wood and master manual techniques as well as the use of computer-controlled machines and production systems.
